Our Level II paediatric intensive care unit cares for children with severe infections, breathing difficulty, dehydration or post-operative needs, in an environment sized and staffed for children rather than adults.
The unit is equipped with paediatric monitors, oxygen and fluid therapy support, and nurses trained in paediatric assessment, working under a paediatric intensivist.
Parents are kept closely informed, and a structured plan is shared for step-down to the general paediatric ward once the child is stable.
