What This Service Covers
Our Level II neonatal intensive care unit supports premature, low-birth-weight and unwell newborns who need closer observation than a routine nursery, without needing the highest tier of neonatal support.
The unit is equipped with radiant warmers, phototherapy units, CPAP support and continuous monitoring, staffed by nurses trained specifically in newborn care and supervised by our paediatric and neonatal team.
Babies are kept close to the mother's care team wherever possible, and parents receive a daily update on feeding, weight and recovery progress.

Yes, within fixed hours, and mothers are supported to continue breastfeeding wherever the baby's condition allows.
When would a baby be moved to a higher level of care?
If the baby needs ventilator support or more intensive monitoring than Level II provides, transfer arrangements are discussed with the family immediately.
