What This Service Covers
The diabetic clinic supports patients from first diagnosis through long-term control. We run screening for at-risk adults, confirm diagnosis with fasting, post-prandial and HbA1c testing, and set individual targets based on age, duration and other conditions.
Care includes oral medication and insulin planning with dose titration, annual complication screening covering eyes, kidneys, nerves and diabetic foot, and structured diet counselling by our clinical dietitian. Pregnant patients with gestational diabetes are co-managed with the obstetrics team.
Patients receive a written plan with target ranges, sick-day rules and hypoglycaemia guidance, plus a reminder schedule for their next HbA1c.
